President's Welcome

Hello, my name is Charalambos Tappas and I am currently a Cyprus Airways captain. I have been the President of the Executive Committee of our Union since February 2009.

Taking this opportunity, on behalf of all our Union's members, I would like to welcome you to our website. Although it is primarily targeted towards our members needs, I do invite anyone interested in Aviation matters to pay a visit.

Our Union is currently involved in a serious effort to help rescue our company from its bad financial condition. We strongly support the changeover from state-owned to privatization as we feel it is currently the only way out. As a result, you will find that most of our news and publications will reflect this effort.
