Extraordinary General Assembly Dec 31st January 10, 2012

On December 31st 2011, the Union held an extraordinary general assembly. The reason for this was the unacceptable position of the Management with regards to the issuing of the pilots roster for the month of January.

The Union claims to have signed an agreement with the Management, stating that from the 1st of January 2012 pilots roster should not include any duty of more than 12 hours.

During a meeting held on December 21st to discuss this matter, the CEO acknowledged the validity of the agreement, nevertheless stated his clear intention to violate it, by issuing the roster with more than 12 hours duty.

The Union feels that this is an unacceptable behavior, especially at a time when the company needs the aid of all, management and employees to have a chance for survival and bearing in mind that the Union has supported the CEO throughout his whole time in this position.

It is unthinkable to realize that your partner can treat you in such a bold manner and it does create certain questions as to what is hidden behind all this.

Following the proceedings of the assembly the floor unanimously approved a resolution and a press release, which are attached.
